About This Zone
We provide roll-off collection and large container service for this zone (commercial waste and recycling removal for containers 10 cubic yards and larger, open top roll-off dumpsters and compactors).
Queens West is designated as a future Commercial Waste Zone (CWZ) under NYC Local Law 199. Specific implementation dates (Start Date, Final Date, Go-Live Date) have not yet been finalized or are scheduled further out.
Neighborhoods in the Queens West zone include Long Island City, Hunters Point, Astoria, Ditmars Steinway, Little Egypt, Woodside, Sunnyside, and Roosevelt Island.
Action Environmental is an authorized CWZ carter selected for this zone and will be ready to provide compliant, efficient service when implementation begins. Please check back for updates on the official timeline.
