Here are answers to some of the questions we are most asked.
All New York City businesses are required to display a window decal showing who their trash carter is and their scheduled service days. Should you change the door or window the sticker was displayed on, or it loses adhesive, please call us to have a new one sent out. NYC Sanitation WILL ticket you for not displaying a window decal.
Please contact our office by 9 a.m. so that we can send a recovery truck to your location. After 9 a.m., we ask you to please bring your trash inside, and then take it out the following night to avoid receiving a sanitation fine.
If you have additional rubbish of greater volume than the agreed upon service we provide to you – or should you have a bulk item such as furniture, wood, an appliance, etc., you must call the office to schedule a pickup. There is an additional charge for these items and a quote can be provided over the phone at the time of your call.
Should your service day fall on a holiday, please call the office if you need to reschedule. We will gladly substitute another weekday for you. We do not issue credits for service days that fall on holidays. See our holiday schedule.
If you will be closed for an extended period of time, we must be notified in advance to suspend billing. We cannot honor requests that were placed after the time period for which your business was closed.
If you are utilizing one of our containers, it should be kept off the street or curb when it is not on schedule to be serviced the following morning. A summons from the Department of Sanitation may be issued if it is stored on the curb or street.
Please be sure to have your materials out for pickup THE NIGHT BEFORE your service day. Our trucks start service at 9 p.m. and materials may be picked up anytime thereafter, unless prior arrangements were made with your sales rep or our customer service department.
