Your method of recycling collection will dictate how many bins you need to maintain at your business.
If you have a single-stream or comingle recycling services (you do not separate paper/carboard from other recyclables)
- You need one bin for trash, and one bin for all recycling
If you source separate your recycling (you separate carboard/paper from plastics, metals, and glass)
- You will need one bin for trash, one bin for cardboard/paper, and one bin for plastics, metals and glass
PRO TIP: Remember to always label your bins with WORDS, not just symbols as required by DSNY.
