Last September members of the RoboRocks FIRST Science and Technology program visited our material recovery facility (MRF) in the Bronx. While there, they were given a tour and got an up-close look at how our recycling and waste management equipment works.

RoboRocks consists of six 3rd-graders from Livingston and Short Hills, NJ. They share a passion of building Lego robots and programming them to do fun things like following a beacon and sorting garbage. The team attends the Livingston JrFLL Expo each year, the largest event of its kind in New Jersey. This past month they were awarded the Complexity and Decoration for the 2nd year in a row, by submitting a design that was based on our Action MRF. They created their own version of our red-wave sorting equipment made entirely out of Legos.
This past Friday the kids stopped by our office in Teaneck to share their award winning design with our team.
Great Job Guys!
