Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Giving you an up-close look at the impact that the Hope and Heroes organization and Columbia University Medical Center has on the children it treats in the tri-state.
Cody Hanlon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of nine. He was treated here at Columbia, where Hope & Heroes helped support him and his family, providing helpful information and services. We are thrilled that Cody has been able to call himself a cancer survivor for over TEN years!
Hope & Heroes has continued to help Cody through Columbia’s Survivor Wellness Program- during college Cody took part in its Future Media Stars internship program, and spent summers interning with companies include CBS Radio and Major League Soccer. Cody is now a college graduate working in media here in NYC. Cody has continued to pay it forward, and volunteers and participates in several Hope & Heroes annual fundraising events.
Your support of Hope & Heroes helps ensure that kids like Hank are able to get the best treatment so they can experience and enjoy childhood
