Action Team Welcomes Twenty Students From Bronx Green Middle School

On March 25, 2009 twenty students arrived at the corporate headquarters of Action Carting Environmental Services to experience a day in the workplace.  The event coordinated by PENCIL stemmed from the Principal for a Day Program, an annual event held throughout New York City.  Action CEO, Ronald S. Bergamini has participated in this event for several years and this is the second year that Ron teamed up with principal, Emily Becker, of the Bronx Green Middle School.

PENCIL builds and supports customized relationships between business leaders and school principals to inspire innovation and transform public schools.  Ron and Emily continued the partnership after the annual event bringing the students and the entire Action administrative team together for a day of learning.  The students received mentoring in four fields – 1) sales/IT; 2) accounting/finance; 3) operations; and 4) human resources/safety.

Action is committed to building community relationships and the mutual beneficial relationship it derives from the staff and students at Bronx Green Middle School demonstrates that wisdom of that commitment.
